Kano Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has granted automatic employment to Hassana Nazifi Shehu Minjibir, a visually impaired graduate of Bayero University, Kano.
Minjibir, a graduate in Special Education, caught the attention of the governor during a women's empowerment program, where her determination and resilience were highlighted.
Governor Yusuf was impressed by Minjibir's perseverance and commitment to achieving his goals despite his physical challenges.
He expressed his admiration for her tenacity and promised to support her future efforts.
As a token of his gratitude, the governor not only offered Minjibir immediate employment but also promised to appoint her as a board member of the Commission for Persons with Disabilities (PWD), which will soon be established in the state.
The governor has directed the Kano State Chief of Service to expedite without delay the process of employing Minjibir into the state civil service.
