The wife of Sokoto State Governor, Fatima Ahmed Aliyu, was on Sunday awarded “Outstanding Mother of the Year” by Amazing Fame Concept in collaboration with Caliphate Youth Forum.
The award was to recognize the contribution of the First Lady of Sokoto to the success of Governor Ahmed Aliyu's administration in the state since she assumed office and the manner in which she discharged her duty as First Lady.
The award was presented on behalf of the organizers by a former member of the House of Representatives, Honorable Shehu Kakale, who described the award as well-deserved and merit-based.
In her comments, Hajia Fatima Ahmed Aliyu describes the award as special and according to her, it will motivate her to serve humanity better.
“I want to say this here, this award is very special to me and I believe that with this I will be more motivated to serve humanity better than in 2024.”
Ms Aliyu was represented at the award ceremony by the state Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Hajiya Hadiza Ahmad Shagar, who congratulated the organizers on the award.
The ceremony took place at the Sokoto Command Guest House.
