The Chief of Staff to Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, Prince AbdulKadir Mahe, has died.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, he said Prince Mahe died on Saturday morning, December 28, 2024.
The statement, which described the late Chief of Staff as a perfect gentleman, community leader, urban public servant and statesman, said he will be buried on Saturday at his residence at Moro Street, Adewole Estate, Ilorin, after the Asr prayer.
The statement reads: “In complete submission to the will of Allah, we regret to announce the passing away of His Excellency's Chief of Staff, Prince AbdulKadir Mahe.
“He died this morning, December 28, 2024, as destined by Allah.
“The late CoS will be buried today at his residence at Moro Street, Adewole Estate, Ilorin, after Asr prayer.
“His Excellency deeply regrets the death of Prince AbdulKadir Mahe, a perfect gentleman, community leader, courteous public servant and statesman.
“The Governor commiserates with the Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari; Prince AbdulKadir's immediate family; government establishments; and cabinet members.
“We ask for everyone's understanding in this period of mourning in which the government and family mourn the public servant par excellence.
“We pray that Allah accepts his return, eases his bills, admits him to al-jannah Firdaus and sustains his family by kindness.”
