Gov Bago approves the appointments of the president of NSIEC, seven others

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago approved the appointments of the president and seven permanent commissioners of the Independent Electoral Commission of the State of Niger (NSIEC).

The designated officials are the following: ENGR. Mohammed Jibrin Imam will serve as president; Barr. Ma border as permanent commissioner I, Nasiru Ubandiya as permanent commissioner II, and Yahaya Idris bone as permanent commissioning III.

The remaining appointed include Captain Mohammed Baro as permanent commissioner IV, Kabiru Tanko Zama as Permanent Commissioner V, Barr. Amina guides as permanent commissioner VI, and Barr. Ahmed Borgu as Permanent Commissioner VII.

The governor declared that those named were selected according to their stories and are responsible for supervising the behavior of local government elections.

He urged them to carry out their duties fairly and fairly, prioritizing the general interest of the State over their personal interests.

In addition, he mentioned that his appointments are subject to the confirmation of the State Assembly Chamber.

Previously, Governor Umaru Bago had sent an executive correspondence to the Niger State Assembly Chamber regarding the composition of the Independent Electoral Commission of the State of Niger.
