As the family of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, prepares to conduct an independent autopsy, the head of the family, Joseph Aloba, has made an impassioned appeal.
In June, PREMIUM TIMES reported that a magistrate court in Ikorodu, Lagos State, granted the request by Mohbad’s family to conduct a second autopsy after rejecting the results of the initial autopsy.
In its report on Monday, the Daily Post newspaper said that Mohbad’s father, in a video shared on his TikTok, called on women who gave birth to the late singer’s children to come forward.
She said: “Any woman anywhere who has a child of Mohbad or who has been pregnant with him, this is the time to come forward. It will be a joy for me to see my grandson, and I will be happy to know that Mohbad died and left a son.
“So, the person has to come forward and all we will do is perform a DNA test on the child to confirm if he is the son of Mohbad and my future. All these steps are necessary.”

Mr Aloba’s appeals came amid his ongoing allegations against Wunmi, his daughter-in-law, over Liam’s paternity and the singer’s assets.
In February, he challenged her to reveal everything she knew about the singer’s death.

Mr Aloba claimed that Mohbad was not Liam’s father and claimed that Laim’s placenta was not delivered to the late singer.
She said: “Wunmi should be considered a chronic liar because no truth can be found in her. She claimed that because she did not give me the child’s placenta, I have been mistreating her, among other accusations. They took the placenta to the child’s father. Others drew my attention to the fact that Liam has bowed legs, something no one in our family has.
“I wasn’t the one who named him Liam, I wanted to call him Victor but they told me there were no more names left. I asked Mohbad and he said he had named him ‘Luz’ to reassure me. I don’t know if the boy’s father instructed them to call him Liam because I don’t know who Liam’s father is.”
It has been ten months since Mohbad, whose real name is Ilerioluwa Aloba, died, and his father remains steadfast in his quest for justice. He has appeared on several mainstream media outlets and has done live broadcasts on social media.
