A young woman named Precious Yusuf was discovered no longer alive in Asaba, a place in Delta State, Nigeria.
Her body was found lying beside the road across from Falcon Club in Asaba.
There was a cloth in black and white covering her waist, which made people think something bad happened there, maybe for magic purposes.
Precious had told someone she was going to see a boy she met online on a site called iHappy Dating. This was on a Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Koka Junction in Asaba, but she didn’t come back home.
The police, who are like safety helpers, shared some news about this. The police spokesperson, named Bright Edafe, said Precious had told her friend where she was going.
He said, “We are very sorry to hear what happened to Precious Yusuf, who is 23 years old. We found her body on the road near Falcon Club in Asaba.”
He also explained that on October 24, 2024, early in the morning, the police boss in Asaba got a phone call about the sad news that a young lady’s body was found on DLA Road next to Falcon Club.
Rex Abiodun, who leads the police team, quickly went to the spot with his helpers to see what was going on.
They started asking questions and learned that on October 22, 2024, Precious told her friend she was meeting a boy from the iHappy dating website. She left her home that day to see him at Coka.
The next morning, on October 23, around 7:30, she talked to her friend on the phone saying she was coming back home. Sadly, that was the last time anyone heard from her. The next day, they found her after she didn’t come home.
Her body is now at a special place called a mortuary, where they will try to find out what happened to her.
The person in charge of the police in Delta State, Olufemi Abaniwonda, told everyone that they are looking deeply into what happened, and they promised to find the truth so that Precious and her family get justice.
The police boss also advised young women to be careful about who they meet and who they spend time with. It’s very important to be cautious, especially when meeting people from the internet or apps.
