The head of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has said that the posters going around on social media are fake. These posters claim he wants to run against President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.
Ganduje made a statement on Sunday through his media assistant Edwin Olofu. He said that troublemakers are behind these fake posters.
These posters also say that Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma will be Ganduje’s running mate.
The message in the statement is: “We want to let everyone know that the poster on social media saying the APC boss, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, will run for president in 2027 with Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma as his number two is completely false and made up.”
“The APC strongly says this is the work of troublemakers. They might be working with some people from the Kwankwassiyya group, who want to cause problems between Dr. Ganduje and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
“To be clear, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is very loyal to President Tinubu. He fully supports the President’s goals and leadership. Dr. Ganduje thinks President Tinubu is the right person to lead Nigeria to more success and togetherness.”
“We ask everyone to ignore this made-up story and not share any information that is not verified.”
