In a town called Akure in Ondo State, something very sad happened. A grandma and four of her little grandchildren ate some food and got very sick. Sadly, they did not get better and passed away. This happened because they ate pap and fish, which might have been bad or poisoned.
This happened recently in a place named Gaga, which is in the Oke-Aro area of Akure. The people living there are very sad and crying about what happened to the family.
A person who knows the family said that the grandma cooked the meal for the children. They think that something was wrong with the food they ate. It might have had something bad in it that made them sick.
There are still two more grandchildren in the hospital. They are getting help from doctors. A man named Isaac, who lives nearby, said he is worried because police came to the house, but nobody has tried to find out exactly what happened yet.
Isaac said, “At first, people said the pap was poisoned. But then we heard that they ate fish from a pond near the house, and maybe the fish was not good to eat.”
Sadly, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, who talks for the police in the area, mentioned that nobody told any police station about what happened in a way that starts an investigation.
