Former Military Members Arrested in Bauchi for Alleged Job Scam

Must Read

The Bauchi State Police Command caught a former soldier named Lance Corporal Aliyu Adamu. He tricked three people looking for jobs.

The police spokesman, SP Ahmed Wakili, said that Adamu, who is from Obi Local Government Area in Nasarawa State, was pretending to be someone he wasn’t. He was cheating and breaking people’s trust.

Wakili explained that police officers from the ‘B’ Division Police Station arrested Adamu after they received complaints from three people. These people said Adamu took N200,000 from them, saying he would get them jobs in the Nigerian Army.

But even after they paid the money, these people did not get invited to the Army for training, like Adamu had promised.

When the police arrested Adamu, he admitted that he was kicked out of the Army a few months ago for not showing up to work for a year.

He also admitted that he used the money for himself.

The police told everyone to be careful and to report anyone who offers fake job opportunities.

They also promised that Adamu will go to court after the investigation is over.
