Two people sadly lost their lives due to floods in some areas of Ibadan, according to a report by DAILY POST.

On Wednesday, heavy rains caused severe flooding in parts of Oluyole and Ibadan South West local government areas. This flood destroyed many homes and shops, with damages worth millions of naira.

Olanrewaju Kadiri, the NEMA South West Zonal Coordinator, stated: “After the heavy rain caused a flash flood in Ibadan South-West and Oluyole on September 24, 2024, the NEMA South West Zonal Office worked with Oyo SEMA and the Nigeria Red Cross Society to check the affected areas.

The flood hit homes and shops, destroying properties worth millions of naira. Many people had to leave their homes. Sadly, two people died, and two others are still missing.
