Flamingoes coach, Bankole Olowookere, picked 21 players for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Some important players on the team include Captain Taiwo Afolabi, and forwards Harmony Chidi and Peace Effiong.
Chidi scored 13 goals during the qualifiers, making her a star player.
The Flamingoes are in Group A with the Dominican Republic (the host country), Ecuador, and New Zealand.
The team will leave Nigeria on a Turkish Airlines flight on Tuesday, October 1st. They will go to Santo Domingo, the capital of the Dominican Republic, for two weeks of training before the tournament starts.
In the last tournament in India, Nigeria’s team finished in third place.
