Five police officers died, and 11 others got hurt in a bad car crash. They were coming back from a special job in Edo State. The car accident happened on Tuesday.
The crash took place on the Zaria-Kano road.
SP Abdullahi Haruna, who talks for the police, confirmed this sad news.
“The accident happened near a place called Karfi. It is a few kilometers away from Kano. Five officers died in the crash, and 11 others got hurt,” he said.
He added that the officers who got hurt are now getting care in a hospital in Kano.
People heard that the police vehicle crashed into a big truck head-on.
