A fire outbreak on Tuesday night destroyed the female shelter of the State University of Sokoto, SSU.
Daily Post gathered that the fire out of fire started around 3:23 pm, dragging the newly built female shelter.
Eyewitness told Tour Reporter that the affected shelter is part of the new structures built to solve the problem of inappropriate accommodation for university students.
The cause of the fire incident has not yet been determined from the time of this report.
“No student was in the shelter when the fire incident occurred, the university authorities had relocated them.
“The students who occupied the newly built shelter had already been relocated to the old shelter,” a source told our journalist.
The president of the Student Union confirmed that firefighters arrived at the scene around 430 pm to stop the fire.
