Must Read

In Buji, a place in Jigawa, something very sad happened. A building fell down in Madabe village, and a father who was 30 years old and his little two-year-old son died.

A man named Alhaji Ali Safiyanu works for the local government. He talked to reporters in Dutse and said the boy’s 25-year-old mother lived through it. She is getting better in a hospital right now.

Safiyanu also said that the building fell down because of very heavy rain on Sunday night.

Another person, Badaruddeen Tijjani, speaks for a security group called the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC). He also confirmed the incident but didn’t have the names of the people who died or the mother who survived. He said they are looking into what happened.

A few days before, from Thursday to Sunday, there was a big flood. The flood caused a lot of trouble in some villages, making about 400 families leave their homes and ruining about 1,000 farms.

The State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) helped the people who lost their homes. They gave out things like food and other important items. These people are staying at a school in the area for now.
