Escalating Tensions: Tope Alabi Concerns Over Competition Among Gospel Singers

Must Read

Gospel singer, Tope Alabi, talked about something that makes her sad. She feels that many gospel singers pretend to be nice, but really, they are not.

She shared these feelings in Ibadan on Sunday at a concert called ‘Celebrating Jesus 7.0’.

Before she sang, she spoke about how singers in her field often feel jealous and fight with each other. This upsets her because she believes they should support each other more.

Tope Alabi thinks it’s important for experienced singers to help the new ones just starting in music. She reminded older singers that when they focus too much on being popular, they might forget to do the right things for God.

She said, “God is watching, and he will ask us about our actions. We should stop doing this. We need to remember we sing for God’s kingdom, not for ourselves or to be famous. Some big singers ignore the new ones, but then they argue among themselves too. What message are we sending to the newcomers?”

Tope Alabi also noticed that many new singers already have problems with each other. They pretend to be friends but are not sincere. This behavior has become a big problem, and she believes God will question them about it.
