Mark Lawrenson used to play for a team called Liverpool. Now, he guesses who will win the soccer games in England this weekend.
First, Tottenham will play against West Ham on Saturday afternoon. Imagine two friends playing soccer in the schoolyard; that’s Tottenham and West Ham!
Then, Manchester United will have a game with Brentford at a place called Old Trafford. At the same time, another team, Bournemouth, will play against Arsenal when the sky turns dark.
On Sunday afternoon, Manchester City will visit Wolves for an away game. It’s like when you go to your friend’s house to play. On the same day, Liverpool will have a match against Chelsea at a place called Anfield.
What does Mark think will happen? He shared his guesses with someone named Paddy Power:
- Tottenham will win 2-1 against West Ham.
- Fulham and Aston Villa will have a tie, both scoring 1.
- Ipswich will get 1 but Everton will score 2, so Everton wins.
- Manchester United will win 2-1 against Brentford.
- Newcastle will score 2 and win over Brighton, who won’t score.
- Southampton will win 2-0 against Leicester.
- Bournemouth will not score, but Arsenal will score 1 and win.
- Wolves won’t get any points, but Manchester City will win with 3!
- Liverpool will have 2 and win over Chelsea with 1.
- Nottingham Forest will win 2-1 against Crystal Palace.
