Harry Maguire, who plays defense for Manchester United, says that the team still believes in their manager, Erik ten Hag.
Maguire talked about this after their team let go of a 2-0 lead, ending the game in a 3-3 tie with FC Porto in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Before the game, many people wondered if Ten Hag would continue to be the manager since they had lost 3-0 to Tottenham the previous Sunday.
While in Portugal, Manchester United almost lost again, but Maguire jumped high to score a goal and tie the game at the last moment.
Right now, Manchester United only has two points from their first two Europa League games, and they are getting ready to play Aston Villa in just three days.
Maguire shared, “I’ve been with Manchester United for six years, so I know how things go here,” with TNT Sports.
“When the team isn’t doing well, players and the manager feel pressure.
“But he knows a lot about football and has spent a long time with our club, so I’m sure he knows how to handle tough times.
“Playing or managing for this team is special, and dealing with pressure is just part of the job.”
