EPL: Ian Wright Identifies ‘Dangerous’ Forward as Martinelli’s Successor at Arsenal

Arsenal legend Ian Wright thinks Leandro Trossard might soon replace Gabriel Martinelli in the team’s attack.

Last Saturday, Trossard came off the bench and scored the first goal with his very first touch! Arsenal won 2-0 against Aston Villa.

Trossard also helped Thomas Partey score the second goal at Villa Park.

Because of this win, Arsenal is now tied at the top of the table with Brighton and Manchester City.

During the match, Trossard was a substitute. Coach Mikel Arteta started Bukayo Saka and Martinelli alongside Kai Havertz. Trossard came on in the 65th minute because Arsenal needed a goal.

Ian Wright said on Premier League Productions, “Trossard is our best finisher. He always knows how to make a difference in games.”

“Martinelli is super fast and very dangerous when he’s at his best, but Trossard helps the whole team with his smart moves,” Wright explained.

“We saw him score and assist a goal right after coming on,” Wright added. “Now, you have to wonder what he needs to do to start the game.”
