Pep Guardiola, who coaches Manchester City, talked about Manchester United’s decision to let go of their manager, Erik ten Hag.

Guardiola, who is from Spain, felt sad for ten Hag, who lost his job at Old Trafford on Monday.

Erik ten Hag was fired the day after Manchester United, the team he was leading, lost 2-1 to West Ham United in a Premier League match.

Before Manchester City traveled to London for a game in the EFL Cup against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, Guardiola shared his thoughts on ten Hag’s departure.

He said he’s really sorry for what happened to ten Hag because ten Hag always acted well as the manager of Manchester United.

Guardiola said to the reporters, “I feel very sad for him. We have a great friendship, and I believe he always showed great behavior as Man United’s manager.”

He also mentioned, “I hope the best for him and his family. I’m sure he’ll come back even stronger. In our jobs, everything relies on how well we do. If we don’t get good results, we might have to leave our jobs.”
