Former Liverpool player Glen Johnson has a big message for the team – don’t let Trent Alexander-Arnold leave and join Real Madrid.
Next summer, Trent’s contract with Liverpool will end.
He hasn’t signed a new contract yet, and starting in January, he can talk to teams outside England about joining them.
But Glen Johnson thinks Trent is too talented to leave for free and that he should stay with Liverpool instead of joining Real Madrid, who have won many championships.
Real Madrid is very interested in Trent and might want to sign him for free next summer.
Johnson told BetFred, “Madrid is a big, famous team. Liverpool is going through some tough times right now. If Real Madrid wants Trent, it’s hard for him to say no. They win big games like the Champions League, so it’s tempting for any player. He can even make an agreement with them from January, but Liverpool shouldn’t lose him for free.”
“Trent is very talented, and letting him go without getting any money would be a bad move for Liverpool. I’m sure the team is trying to keep him, but with less time left and Real Madrid interested, it’s not looking good for Liverpool right now.”
