Chelsea star Pat Nevin tells Enzo Fernandez to help more in defense
Pat Nevin, who used to play for Chelsea, has said that Enzo Fernandez needs to do more to help the team defend.
Nevin talked after Chelsea lost 2-0 to Manchester City in a big game on Sunday.
Fernandez was the team captain because Reece James wasn’t playing. But, he couldn’t help the team win the game.
Manchester City won because Erling Haaland and Mateo Kovacic scored two goals.
Nevin said on BBC Radio 5 Live, “Enzo has not been very active in the number 10 position.”
“When you play in that spot, you have to be involved in everything. If you are Conor Gallagher, you would think you can do a better job,” Nevin added.
“Enzo is not coming back to help defend, but he is also not doing much to attack. He needs to work harder for the team in defense.”
