Arsenal’s coach, Mikel Arteta, had nice things to say about Riccardo Calafiori after their game with Manchester City. The game ended in a 2-2 draw on Sunday.
Arteta said Calafiori, who is from Italy, played very well against the tough team led by Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium.
During the game, Calafiori scored the first goal for Arsenal, making the score even after Erling Haaland scored early for Man City.
Later in the game, players Gabriel Magalhães and John Stones also scored goals.
In his interview after the game, Arteta said, “He was great. To have the debut in this context chapeau. He’s got so much character. Really impressed with that.”
