Ekiti: Bode George Criticizes Fayose for Endorsing Governor Oyebanji’s Re-election

Must Read

A big leader from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) named Bode George is upset with Ayo Fayose. Fayose used to be the governor of Ekiti State. He is now saying he supports Governor Biodun Oyebanji, who is part of another group called the All Progressives Congress (APC).

On a TV show called “Politics Today” on Channels Television, George talked about how strange it is that Fayose supports Oyebanji. He thinks that this is not right.

George says that the PDP might start checking into what Fayose is doing. They want to see if he should be punished for not being loyal to the PDP.

George put it this way: If Fayose really said he is working with the APC governor, the PDP wants to know why. They will start looking into it from where Fayose first joined the party in Ekiti State. They need to check everything out and then decide what to do.

Fayose had talked about this on TV earlier on a show called “Sunday Politics” on October 13. He said the current governor, Oyebanji, is doing a really good job. Fayose thinks it would be very hard for the PDP to win against him in the next election in 2026.

He explained, “I am part of the PDP, and the governor now is part of the APC. But I am also a leader in Ekiti, so I have to speak the truth.”

George thinks the PDP can fix the problems they have. He says it’s normal for parties to have hard times, but the way things are going now is not helpful.

George is sad that some PDP members are letting what they want get in the way of what the party needs. He says the party’s goals should always come first for peace to last.

He asked everyone in the PDP to stop fighting in public and try to work together to make the party peaceful again.
