Must Read

The Edo State Police caught a woman for using fake money to buy things from traders.

Reports say she was caught at the Oregbeni market in Ikpoba Hill, within the Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area of Edo State, over the weekend.

Witnesses say the woman, who is around 30 years old, had already bought goods worth over N200,000 using fake N1000 notes before getting caught.

A trader got suspicious because the money looked too new, so she checked it against older notes. She realized the money was fake and shouted for help.

Other traders confirmed the money was fake. They followed the woman quietly as she went from shop to shop trying to buy more items.

They tricked her into one of the shops, pretending to show her more goods. Meanwhile, they had already called the police.

The police arrived and arrested the woman with the fake notes.

When asked about it, Chidi Nwabuzor, the Public Relations Officer of the Edo State Command, said he had not received details about the case yet.
