Nigeria’s team, Edo Queens, will play against three other teams in the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifier. These teams are Ominisport Etincelle from Burkina Faso, Hassaacas Ladies from Ghana, and AS Garde Nationale from Niger.
This announcement was made during a special event at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, on Wednesday.
This is the first time Edo Queens will compete in this tournament.
The host team, FC Inter D’Abidjan from Cote d’Ivoire, will compete in Group A alongside ASKO FC from Togo and Ainonvi FC from Benin Republic.
The matches will be held from August 10 to August 23 in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, at the Stade Félix Houphouët Boigny and Champroux stadiums.
The team that wins will get to represent their zone in the CAF Women’s Champions League.
