Edo PDP Accuses APC Gubernatorial Candidate Okpebholo of Stirring Confusion

Must Read

Sure, let’s make it simpler and easy to understand. Here’s a rewritten version of the blog post:

The Edo State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, is causing trouble in the state. They believe he is doing this because he knows he cannot win the upcoming election without help from the Federal Government.

Dr. Anthony Aziegbemi, the PDP state chairman, talked about this during a press event in Benin City on Friday.

Aziegbemi also said that there was violence at the Benin Airport on Thursday. This violence led to the death of a policeman who was part of the APC candidate’s security team. He blamed Philip Shaibu, who was recently brought back as the deputy governor, and some people working for APC for causing this chaos.

He said this shows how desperate APC has become to make their candidate win against the will of the Edo people.

According to him: “PDP is worried because APC and their candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, are causing trouble in Edo State since they know they cannot win the upcoming election.

“This act led to chaos in the state, hurting many people and the death of a policeman, which could have been avoided.

“The Edo State PDP is shocked by the damage and death caused by the violence. The violence was carried out by APC members pretending to enforce a court judgment that brought back the impeached deputy governor, Philip Shaibu.

“What happened at the Benin Airport is sad and unacceptable. It shows how far APC will go to push their candidate on Edo people.

“It is really sad that a policeman died because of the violence caused by APC, led by their candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo.

“PDP feels very sorry for the death of this brave policeman. We feel for his family and pray that he rests in peace,” he said.

He also said that when a court gives a decision, all sides should wait for the outcome of any appeals before acting.

He told Philip Shaibu to let the law do its job and stop causing violence.

“He should wait for the court’s final decision and not cause more trouble.

“APC should control their members. No good government will allow people to hurt and kill its citizens.

“APC should focus on preparing for the elections instead of causing distractions,” he added.

Aziegbemi also criticized the Commissioner of Police for not controlling the situation. He said the police knew there were weapons at the airport but did nothing.

“The Commissioner of Police was at the airport and showed Philip Shaibu the court papers. He knew cars were waiting with guns and dangerous weapons. Why did he not stop the violence?”

“In the end, people will look out for themselves. Who benefits from causing trouble in Edo just before an election? The PDP is sure to win this election.

“PDP believes APC and their new member, Shaibu, planned this to scare people before the elections.

“We ask the security services to fully investigate what happened, do an autopsy on the dead officer, and make their findings public,” he said.

I hope this rewritten blog is more understandable.
