The Delta State Police command arrested a man and his second wife for the death of three sisters in the state of Delta.
According to the reports, the three sisters of the same parents died during a visit to their father's residence in the Delta Steel Company, DSC, Township, Oruhworun, local government area of UDU of the State of Delta.
The reports said the sisters live separated from their father who married after the death of their mother, but occasionally visits from time to time.
“The incident has sent shock waves through the community, especially because it arrives less than a year after the death of its biological mother.
“His father married shortly after his mother died, and the stepmother was a close friend of the late woman (her mother),” said a source.
Daily Post learned that the sisters allegedly returned from a birthday party the day before the DSC residence of their father just to be found foam in the mouth the next day.
The Public Relations officer of the State Police of Delta, (PPRO), Edafe Bright, confirmed the incident, saying: “We are dealing with this as a suspicious death and we are exploring all angles.
“The public will be updated as we advance.”
In a related development, two TIV children from the state of Benue have been arrested in relation to the alleged murder of the engineer not yet identified contracted to build offices in Akwukwu-Igbo, the headquarters of the local government area of northern Oshimili in the state area of Delta.
According to the sources, the incident occurred in December 2024, but the details only arose recently after two suspects were arrested in relation to the crime, while the cause of the Dastrid law was unknown.
The community's source revealed that “the suspects, identified as TIV youth of the state of Benue, supposedly killed the engineer and hid their body in a shallow tomb inside a farm.
In addition, EDAFE confirmed that the body has been exhumed.
“We are aware of the incident and our men are working to ensure that others involved are arrested,” he said.
