The Delta State Police have caught eight people believed to be troublemakers in the area.
The police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, shared this news on his official social media account on Wednesday.
Out of the eight people, three were taken in for kidnapping, and five for being part of a gang.
SP Edafe said that one of the kidnappers got hurt in a fight with the police.
In his social media post, he said, “Three people who kidnapped a man six months ago and got a ransom of over 5 million Naira were arrested. The man didn’t give up and told the police, and we have been following the case since then.
“In Ughelli, the police found a revolver, pump-action gun, two Beretta pistols, and another pump-action gun.
“One kidnapper died during the fight, and five gang members were arrested. The police will keep working to catch these bad guys and make sure our state is safe for everyone.”
