Delta: Arrested the leading youth police for alleged purchase of AK-47 rifle

The Delta State Police command agents arrested a youth leader, Victor Edavwe for alleged purchase of an AK-47 rifle.

Ekpan's youth president was arrested on March 15, 2025, along with his friend, EFE, also known as Eteyomo.

The police also recovered from the residence of the suspect's friend, an AK-47 rifle, an individual barrel gun, three covers, two daggers and forty-four rounds of live ammunition of 7.62 mm wrapped in a black and hidden sack on the roof of the living room.

Public Relations Official of the State Police of Delta, SP Bright EDAFE revealed this in a statement on Thursday.

“The Dpo Ekpan CSP Division Aliyu Shaba mobilized and took the agents to Santhine Street in Ekpan, where the suspect Victor Edavwe was arrested and taken to the police station to interrogate him.

“During the interrogation, Suspects Gave Useful Information that corroborated the intelligence earlier gathered and led the operations to the house of one efe (Surname unknown) aka 'Eteyomo' a Search was driver in the premises During Which One Ak-47 Rifle, One Single Barrel Gun, Three Cutlasses, Two Daggers and Forty-Four Rounds of 7.62mm Live Ammunition Wrapped in A Black Sack and Conceared on The Roof of the living room were recovered.

“The suspects are in custody and the investigation is ongoing,” the statement added.
