There was a big commotion at University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan when a small fire started in one of the hospital rooms on Sunday morning.
According to DAILY POST, the fire happened early on Sunday.
We found out that the fire started in an office on the third floor of the South West 3 ward of the hospital.
This fire scared patients and their families a lot, causing a lot of confusion and worry.
The hospital’s spokesperson, Funmi Adetuyibi, confirmed what happened. She said the fire began because of a spark in the change-over box.
“The fire started around 8:10 a.m. on Sunday, September 22, 2024,” she said.
“The spark that started the fire came from the change-over box in the Medicine Laboratory on the 3rd floor of the hospital.”
“Luckily, the fire was controlled and stayed only in the change-over panel of one room in the laboratory.”
