The Federal High Court in Lagos on Tuesday quashed an N21 suit. A $5 billion money laundering charge has been laid against former Chief of Air Staff Adesola Amosu and two others.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had re-indicted the accused on an amended charge of 13 counts of money laundering involving N21.5 billion.
Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke, in a ruling on Tuesday, upheld a preliminary objection filed by the defense questioning the court’s jurisdiction to hear the case.

The preliminary objection was based on the defendants being military officers serving at the time of being charged.
The defense attorney had argued that the defendants were therefore only subject to trial by court-martial, as they were still officers during that period.
