There was a very sad accident on the Sagamu-Ogijo Road in Ogun State. A husband and wife, along with another man, sadly lost their lives.
This accident involved three different vehicles: a big truck, a space wagon car, and a motorcycle. The truck had the number EKY 778 XM, the space wagon was marked AM 299 AHD, and the motorcycle was JGB 265 WG.
The people who passed away were a young couple, Moses Ekpolo, who was 25, and his wife Josephine Ekpolo, who was just 19. Also, a 44-year-old man named Kolawole Moshood died in the accident.
Omolola Odutola, who speaks for the police in Ogun, told everyone that the crash happened at 9 o’clock at night on a Thursday. She explained that it was because the truck driver was not careful. The truck bumped into the motorcycle from the back, and because of that, the motorcycle then hit the space wagon car.
Moses and Josephine were riding together on the motorcycle.
Omolola said: “This accident happened near Lafarge Company on the Sagamu-Ogijo Road. The truck, which was the main cause, hit the motorcycle, causing the bike to crash into the space wagon. The person driving the space wagon was named Wahab Ogunyemi. The truck’s driver name is not yet known.”
“The accident was really bad. Moses, his wife, and Kolawole were all hurt very seriously. They were taken to the hospital as quickly as possible, but they did not survive. They have been moved to a special place in Sagamu now.”
Omolola gave a warning to all big truck drivers to be more careful when they are driving. She also asked everyone using the road to keep a safe distance from these big trucks to stay safe.
