Council of State and NGF grant 'vote of confidence' to Tinubu

The National Council of State and the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF) separately passed votes of confidence in President Bola Tinubu in their meetings with the President on Tuesday, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazak told reporters.

Mr AbdulRazak said that after the State Council meeting, the governors under the NGF banner held a separate meeting with the President.

“The highlight of the (Council) meeting was the unanimous passage of a vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces,” said the Kwara governor, who is also the NGF chairman.

“The members, especially those of the Nigerian Governors Forum, were pleased with the presentation by the members of the Federal Executive Council and after that meeting, there was an executive session between the members of the Nigerian Governors Forum and Mr. President and frank and fruitful discussions were held between both parties…

“…the members of the NGF also, like the members of the Council of State, gave a vote of confidence to Mr. President,” he said.
