Christmas: Senator Barau urges to pray for economic growth

The Vice President of the Senate, Senator Barau Inuwa Jibrin, has extended his Christmas greetings to Christians, urging all citizens to intensify prayer for peace, unity and progress in the country.

In a goodwill message to mark this year's Christmas, signed by his Press Assistant, Ismail Mudashir, Deputy President of the Senate, appealed to all to remain hopeful and steadfast in their collective pursuit of a brighter Nigeria. and prosperous.

Senator Barau, who is also the First Deputy Speaker of the ECOWAS Parliament, expressed optimism that the 2025 budget presented by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the joint session of the National Assembly on December 18 has the potential to positively transform the fate of the country if it is fully implemented. He stated that once the budget is approved by the National Assembly and signed by the President, the legislature will enhance its oversight to ensure that all ministries, departments and agencies responsible for implementing the budget are accountable.

“I rejoice with the Christian faithful and with all Nigerians for Christmas this year. This year has presented us with challenges, but it has also demonstrated our resilience, courage and determination as a people.

“Let us remain hopeful and steadfast in our collective pursuit of a brighter and more prosperous Nigeria.

“As leaders, we are committed to working tirelessly to ensure that all Nigerians enjoy the dividends of democracy. We are determined to create an environment in which all citizens can prosper and where peace and security reign.

“I urge the Christian faithful to adhere to the teachings of Christ this Christmas and always. Merry Christmas and New Year in advance. May the New Year bring prosperity to our dear country, the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
