‘Chippa United Chief Discloses Why Nwabali Wasn’t Sold: ‘They Were Offering Peanuts”

Must Read

Chippa United’s boss, Siviwe Mpengesi, talked about why they didn’t let Stanley Nwabali go.

Nwabali is 28 years old and many people thought he would leave their soccer team this summer.

Clubs both inside South Africa and from other countries wanted him.

But Nwabali, who used to play for Enyimba, chose to stay. He signed a new deal for three more years with Chippa United.

He was also made the team’s new captain.

Mpengesi said, “It wasn’t about the money. Two teams wanted him. One was AmaZulu, but they offered too little,” he told KickOff.

“We also talked to Kaizer Chiefs before the season ended. But they signed another goalkeeper. If they wanted Nwabali, we would have given him for a good price.”
