Challenges: APC State Leaders Organize Counter Rally in Response to August 1st Protest

Must Read

The leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from different states have decided to hold support rallies everywhere—every town, city, and even in the capital, Abuja. They want to talk about the good things President Bola Tinubu has done.

Alphonsus Eba, the group’s secretary, spoke to the press on Monday in Abuja. He said they will hold these rallies starting from August 1 because some people are planning a big protest.

The group believes that this protest could be dangerous and could harm the democratic values that all political parties believe in.

The APC leaders agree that even though things seem tough now, they are hopeful that President Tinubu’s projects and plans will bring better days ahead.

Eba said, “From July 29 to August 11, 2024, starting today with this press conference, we will hold peaceful rallies in every town, every local government, and all state capitals including Abuja. We want to remind everyone about the good projects and plans of President Tinubu. We must protect our democracy. We cannot allow criminals to start violent protests.”

“These violent protests are not acceptable. We must tell the good, peace-loving people of our country that some politicians, who failed, are trying to take power in wrong ways by making people angry and pushing them into violent protests,” Eba added.

The group urged all patriotic Nigerians to stand together and not allow anyone to push them into dangerous and unorganized protests.
