American rapper Cardi B has shown her support for Vice President Kamala Harris to be the Democratic Party’s candidate for the United States presidential election.
Cardi B had earlier suggested that Kamala Harris should be the Democratic candidate after watching a debate between President Joe Biden and the Republican candidate, Donald Trump. She was very happy when she heard that Biden decided to step down and endorse Harris.
According to DAILY POST, President Joe Biden stepped down as the Democratic candidate on Sunday and supported his vice president, Kamala Harris, to lead the party.
Reacting on her X handle (formerly known as Twitter), Cardi B wrote: “Aha hahaha let’s go! I told y’all Kamala [Harris] was supposed to be the 2024 candidate… Stop playin’ with me!”
In May, Cardi B told Rolling Stone that she wouldn’t vote in the November election if the main candidates were still Biden and Trump. She said that she used to think Trump was a big problem but felt very let down by Biden because of how he managed things at home and abroad.
