Call for Justice for Mohbad: Yomi Fabiyi Announces Protest at Lagos Assembly on September 30

Popular Nollywood actor and activist, Yomi Fabiyi, has shared his plans to lead a protest. He wants to go to the Lagos State House of Assembly to ask for justice for the late singer Mohbad.

The protest will happen on September 30, the same day the coroner will look into what caused Mohbad’s death.

Fabiyi posted on Instagram on Monday, inviting everyone to join him. He wants to put pressure on the police to get CCTV footage from Mohbad’s house, which could reveal important details about his death.

He said the goal of the protest is to make the Lagos State government help and set up a group to get this CCTV footage.

“We need to peacefully protest at the gate of the Lagos State House of Assembly on September 30, 2024,” he said.

“Those who ended Mohbad’s life are spending a lot of money to hide what really happened and distract everyone from the truth.

“We believe that the CCTV cameras in and outside Mohbad’s house were working. The footage is stored somewhere remote, not just on a DVR. The builders and security of Royal Pine Estate, Off Orchid Road, Lekki, know where this data is kept.

“It is very frustrating that the police are not retrieving this footage. We, the people, don’t want to break the law by trying to get it ourselves. That’s why we need the true representatives of Lagos State to step in, call a meeting, and bring out the truth.

“COME ONE, COME ALL, AND LET’S SPEAK WITH ONE VOICE on September 30, 2024. We need you in this fight. Be peaceful and orderly when you come.”
