El-Kanemi Warriors’ coach, Aliyu Zubairu, said his team didn’t win because they missed too many chances to score in their recent match in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The game ended in a 1-1 tie against Dadje FC from Benin. The Warriors played at home on Saturday for the first part of this round.
With just a few minutes left, Gimba Ajiji scored a goal that helped the Warriors avoid losing the game.
Coach Zubairu believes his team will do better in the second game.
“The players were too nervous while trying to score, but I still believe in them,” Zubairu said to the club’s media team.
“We will go to Benin Republic and win the next match, with God’s help.”
