Before President Bola Tinubu changes the positions of his government officials, a well-known social critic named Martins Otse, or VeryDarkMan (VDM), has asked for the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, to be removed.
DAILY POST remembers that Bayo Onanuga, who is the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, said on Wednesday that a change in the cabinet is coming soon.
This means some ministers might lose their jobs, and others might get new roles.
In response, VDM made a video on his Facebook page on Friday, asking the president to keep the ministers who are doing a good job.
However, he said the Minister of Power should be removed. He explained that the division of power supply into Band A, Band B, and Band C is unfair.
He questioned why some Nigerians get electricity for 20 hours a day, while others get much less.
He said, “If any minister must be removed or given a new job, it should be the Minister of Power. They need to take him out.
“My reason is this: the way they divide power into Band A, Band B, and Band C makes no sense. Why is there this division? Are you saying poor people don’t deserve to have electricity?
“Is it that poor people shouldn’t have light for 24 hours? It makes no sense because we are all Nigerians.”
