Grammy Award winner Burna Boy has become the first African artist to reach the 2 billion streams mark in the UK.
The “Twice as Tall” singer was presented with a Brit plaque at his sold-out show at Koko Camden in London on Monday night in recognition of his achievement.
The milestone came just weeks after Brit was presented with a plaque recognising the billionth stream at her sold-out London Stadium show in June.
In a viral video accepting Brit's 2 billion views plaque, Burna Boy said: “I fought for it.”
Burna Boy, unrelenting, replied: “Thank you so much. I appreciate you,” adding: “You have to fight for your rights.”
One of the presenters replied: “You already have it. You don’t need to fight.”
Burna Boy replied: “No. You know, we have to fight for our rights.”

The acclaimed 'African Giant' has continued to make headlines thanks to his brilliant performances across Europe and other parts of the world.
