Bulls persist in NGX as rent investors earn N332.2bn

The local stock market maintained its promoting impulse in the middle of the week, since the All-Share index rose 0.51 percent to close 105,324.89 basic points.

On Wednesday, the Bulls continued to dominate the domestic base since the hunting activities of bargains in First Bank of Nigeria Holdings, Guarantery Trust Holding Company and Access Holdings stimulated a 0.5 percent increase in the reference index, since these banking actions They appreciated 9.6 percent, 3.2 percent, and 6.3 percent, respectively.

Market capitalization reflected this growth, increasing by 0.51 percent to ₦ 65.22 billion, adding ₦ 332.2 billion in profits to the stock market for the closure of the session. As a result, the All-Share index closed at 105,324.89 points, with monthly and year yields until the date of setting at +0.8 percent and +2.3 percent, respectively.

Fed by the positive market performance, the market market remained strong, with 37 shares advancing while 21 decreased.

In the Performance Board, Guinea Insurance and Eternal registered the most significant profits of the day, having appreciated in the value of the shares by 10.0 percent, respectively, while May & Baker and Academy Press led the losers list after their respective shares prices fell into 9.9 percent and 9.3 percent.

The sectorial performance was mixed. The banking sector registered the highest profit at 3.17 percent, followed by oil and gas with 0.31 percent and industrial goods with 0.09 percent. Meanwhile, insurance and consumer goods sectors decreased by 0.67 percent and 0.44 percent, respectively. The basic products index remained unchanged at 0 percent.

On Wednesday, the commercial activity was solid, with the number of agreements, the total volume and the value at 3.29 percent, 124.13 percent and 44.86 percent, respectively, at 15,080 agreements, with 1,057.24 million units transacted into ₦ 28.81 billion.

Access Holdings was the most negotiated by volume and value action at 473.22 million units and ₦ 12.57 billion, respectively.
