American singer, Beyoncé, surprised everyone at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony on NBC Friday night by introducing some American athletes.
The famous singer, known for songs like ‘Drunk In Love,’ wore an outfit in red, white, and blue colors. She even had a ‘USA’ leotard, a big flowing cape, cowboy boots, and a cowboy hat.
“Look at America, everyone,” Beyoncé said. Her new song ‘Ya Ya’ from the album ‘Cowboy Carter’ played in the background.
“These athletes are our hopes and dreams. They are superstars who represent all of us. Together, we cheer for them,” she said.
She gave special mentions to some team members: Simone Biles, Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Caeleb Dressel, and Katie Ledecky.
“The pride and joy this team brings? That’s what makes me believe in them,” she said. “I can’t wait to see their amazing performances in the next 16 days. America, cheer for Team U.S.A. They are the best of us. What a sight to see. What a team to support. What a night to remember,” she added.
