The Civil Protection Guard of the State of Benue, BSCPG, arrested four suspects who are presented as members of national hunters and forest security services.
According to reports, the group is fighting Boko Haram and other insurgents in Maiduguri, Borno state.
They were arrested in Aliade, the Gwer local government area with the help of the local surveillance group.
The suspects were disadvantaged on Wednesday in Makurdi by BSCPG commander, Captain Ajovi Ajobi, RTD.
He said that the self -raised hunters who arrived in the state two days before they were arrested had combined the insurgents in the northeast with the army.
The suspects that could barely communicate in English told journalists who were recruited along with 28 people and brought to Benue from the state of Nasarawa by a Chinese construction company.
They said they were hired as security guards to help ensure the property of the company and that civil protection guards surprised their arrest.
The suspects alleged that the Chinese company had not informed them that they would be taken to the state of Benue for work.
Explaining their background, the suspects reported their role in the fight against Boko Haram in Maiduguri, which led to its deployment to Nasarawa.
The suspects affirmed that a Chinese company was looking for their experience, but insisted that they were not aware of being in the state of Benue.

HA declared that after verifying his statements with the authorities, the statements of the suspects about their true identities were inconsistent.
The articles recovered from them include two weapons of bomb action and living cartridges.
