The organizers of the reality show Big Brother NAIJA have made some adjustments to the rules of the current season 9, introducing new dynamics to the game.
The need for these changes became pertinent after the current season's adoption of the custodian challenge, the HOH vote, and the possibility of housemates voting for the eviction of the four bellboy pairs appeared to have failed.
As seen in previous seasons, the original rules gave the custodians the power to influence eviction and the HOH vote, while exempting them from eviction.
However, the head of the house did not enjoy this privilege during the current season.
New BBN Adoptions
During Sunday’s eviction show, host Ebuka mentioned that Big Brother had abolished the custodian challenge and HOH voting. He added that housemates will no longer have the authority to vote for the eviction of the final four.
On the other hand, the original game pattern has been brought back. The Head of House's immunity guarantees that he cannot be evicted during his reign. Unlike previous seasons, in this season the Head of House does not have the power to save or replace a housemate who has been nominated.
According to Ebuka, housemates will nominate each other for eviction while viewers will be able to save and evict through public voting.

Sunday eviction
Big Brother Naija season 9 heated up as two teams were evicted during Sunday’s live eviction show.
Since the beginning of this season, there is a new twist: only one couple is evicted on Sundays.
The four teams with the fewest votes (Flourish, Streeze, Radicals and Beta) were eligible to be evicted.
Once again, the custodians, Wanni X Handi, were given the power to save one of the nominated housemate pairs from possible eviction, and they saved Team Beta.
Left with three couples to be evicted, the housemates voted out Streeze (Toby Forge and Mayor Frosh) and Flourish (Dj Flo and Rhuthee).
Team Tami was the first to be evicted from the “No Loose Guard” season of Big Brother Naija, followed by the Ndi Nne couple.
