Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed, wants everyone to know that there are no fights or divisions within his political group, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
As the leader of all PDP governors, Mohammed said that the party is working together, and there are no separate groups causing trouble.
His announcement came after some important PDP leaders visited him. They came because there were rumors about problems in the party, like one leader maybe being told to step down.
Recently, certain people at the top of the PDP were said to have been suspended. But the court in Abuja said that Umar Damagum must stay as the acting chairperson until a big party meeting set for December 2025.
After talking privately with other PDP members, Governor Mohammed shared that the party will solve any problems by discussing and working together.
He explained, “We all met and talked a lot about these issues with the leader, and we agreed to work with other party groups to fix everything. The key point from this meeting is that we’re all going to collaborate more to solve the issues within the party.”
“We have decided to keep the group united and make sure we close any gaps so no problem continues. We’ll make sure nobody pulls the party into pieces.”
Mohammed reassured everyone that the PDP is talking to many top members to solve internal challenges.
He said that it’s not just up to him to make decisions; other important party members will help decide what to do.
He added that he’s talking with other PDP governors about what steps to take next.
“This has been a good meeting, and I am confident the party will come together to solve any disagreements. We have all agreed, alongside other leaders, to do everything we can to bring success back to the party so it can win in the 2027 elections,” said Mohammed.
