In a town called Magamar-Jibia, which is in Katsina State, some bad people did something very bad. They hurt a man named Aliyu Yahaya who was part of a group that helps keep people safe. These bad people also did something very mean—they burned his house and took his family and three of his neighbors away.
Aliyu was 31 years old and tried to protect his home when these bad guys came. Sadly, they overpowered him. His brother, Salisu Yahaya, said these bad people not only hurt Aliyu and set his room on fire but also kidnapped Aliyu’s wife, son, and three neighbors.
A police officer, ASP Abubakar Sadiq, said that yes, this really happened. The police are now trying very hard to find the people who did this bad thing and to bring back the kidnapped family and neighbors.
This terrible event has made many people in the town very upset. They are asking the government to do something quickly to stop such bad things from happening again. The people want their family members back home safely.
A community leader named Alhaji Sani Salisu said that there are not enough police officers in the area. He wants more officers to come so that the town can be safe and things like this won’t happen again.
