In a small place called Kanya, which is in a bigger area named Danko/Wasagu in Kebbi State, some armed men took away a community leader. People think these armed men are bad guys, known as bandits.
The community leader’s name is Isah Daya, and these bandits came to his village on a Saturday and took him away.
During this scary event, they hurt a few people. Unfortunately, one person named Sheriff Alhaji Almu lost his life. Three others were hurt, and eight more people were taken by these bandits.
The police officer from the area, named Nafui Abubakar, told everyone about this sad news.
The police, along with other security teams, are trying hard to find these bandits and bring back the people they took, including the community leader. They are looking everywhere to make sure everyone gets home safely.
The Kebbi State Government is helping too. They are giving the police everything they need to catch these bad guys and make sure the towns in Kebbi South, like Zuru Emirate, are safe for people to live in.
This event happened just a few days after some bandits killed a person who was an important leader in a political party called the All Progressives Congress, in an area named Suru.
