Ballon d’Or: Real Madrid Criticized as “Very Small Club” by Raymond Domenech

Must Read

Former France manager, Raymond Domenech, has some strong feelings about what Real Madrid did. He thinks they acted like a “small club” because they didn’t go to the Ballon d’Or awards show.

Domenech said this about Real Madrid after hearing that their player, Vinicius Jr, did not win a big award. Instead of going to the event in Paris, they decided to stay away.

In an interview with GOAL.pl, Domenech shared his thoughts, saying, “People usually say Real Madrid is one of the biggest football clubs in the world, and they want everyone to believe that too.”

However, Domenech argued, “But what they did by not showing up at the Ballon d’Or gala makes them look really small. It’s as if they don’t care about being part of the football community or showing respect to the other players and people there.”

In simple words, he thinks Real Madrid should have supported the event, even if their player didn’t win. An example to understand this might be a school play: even if you don’t have the main role, it’s nice to cheer for your friends who do. That’s how teamwork and friendship grow!
