Javier Bordas, who used to be a vice-president of Barcelona, said that Neymar could have won a big soccer award called the Ballon d’Or if he had stayed with Barcelona.

Neymar left Barcelona and joined a team in Paris called Paris Saint-Germain in 2017.

During a chat with a sports magazine, Bordas mentioned that Neymar, who is now 32 years old, wanted to go back to Barcelona after moving to the Paris team.

Bordas said, “I wished Neymar had stayed with us. There was a chance for him to come back.”

“If he had returned, he would have probably won the Ballon d’Or with Barcelona.”

“Neymar missed Barcelona so much that just a few weeks after he left, he wanted to come back.”

Right now, Neymar plays soccer for a team in Saudi Arabia called Al Hilal.
